Ripened ovary of a seed-bearing plant, containing the seeds and occurring in a wide variety of forms. Many spirits and beverages are made from fruit, including wine (grapes), applejack (apples) and tequila (blue agave).
Fruit Brix

Brix is a measure of sugar content in a liquid. The higher the brix value the higher the alcohol content can be. Fruits with higher brix values will make better candidates for fermentation purposes.
