Suburban

Suburban Cocktail

A cocktail made with:

• 1-1/2 oz. rye whiskey
• 1/2 oz. dark Jamaican rum
• 1/2 oz. port
• Dash of orange bitters
• Dash of Angostura bitters

Stir all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with cracked ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

The Suburban is a drink sometimes associated with horse-racing and draws its name from the Suburban Handicap that was run in Brooklyn during the 1880s.
