Hi Guys,
Quick back story prior to the question: Ordered 2 x 2" tri clover sanitary clamps from an ebay seller for my impending 2" boka with type L copper. I read on multiple threads that I needed a 2" tri clamp, and that it would fit around a standard sanke keg flange. I'm planning on making an easy flange for my connection. Upon receipt of said clamps, they don't fit sanke flange. I relay this to seller, he sends 2 more, same size, and questions if i know what I really want. I wanted to check with you guys before I have a discussion with him.
according to the guide on the stpats site, I don't believe this is a 2" tri clamp. Second opinions please?
Thanks!

Not OD -- What is ID of inside ridge as well as ID to the inside of the groove.

Re: Ebay tri-clover woes
I just pulled a 2" clamp that fits a sanke and the ID measured on the ridge is 2 1/8". OD is 2 7/8". Looking at that clamp it's a cheaper "after-market" of which I have several that came in batched sets I bought off of ebay. Considering the job they do I'd recommend you by a good quality clamp. I've gotten good products from St. Pat's as well as Mile-Hi. Kentucky Shinner just started an online site and he handles them as well. Here's a link to his place. http://www.hillbillystills.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

Re: Ebay tri-clover woes
that sure looks like tri-clovers logo to me. sanitary clamps are so inexpensive at reputable and knowledgable sellers there is no reason to go to e-bay to find a bargain. if you can't get your money back you can sell your 1.5" clamps and buy 2" from some one that knows what they are doing. search "sanitary clamp" jme ellsworth, and others. cobWalkingWolf wrote:I just pulled a 2" clamp that fits a sanke and the ID measured on the ridge is 2 1/8". Re: Ebay tri-clover woes
I bought the 2" kit from Milehi, a little more expensive but has the two extra ferrules that made for an easy transition from keg to column.
Re: Ebay tri-clover woes
I have bought clamps from MileHi too as it worked out cheaper than buying in the UK. Its worth pointing out that there is an Italian version of the sanitary clamp too, but it has slightly different dimensions.
There are also own brand versions that are not quite the same.

Re: Ebay tri-clover woes
Here's a 2" Tri-Clamp fitting and a keg top that I cut out. The Tri-Clamp fitting has a gasket groove tooled in it and keg fitting does not. If you are trying to use a Tri-Clamp gasket between both connections then that might be your problem. You MUST shave the raised ridge off one side of the gasket in order for it to fit between the two fittings. The Tri-Clamp fitting will accept the raised ridge in the gasket, but he keg fitting will not which is why you shave that side of the gasket.

In these pics there is not a gasket installed.

I just measured the OD of my 2" clamp while it is closed and it measures 2-7/8" just like WalkingWolf said.
