you can also put it in a vice... If your using oxy/act because the copper will transfer the majority of the heat... if your using 2 inch or bigger... in my experience mapp just doesn't get it hot enough / takes to much time to get it to heat Be carefull using a vice them fittings will smash easily....

Id also put up pictures of the new still with newly soldered joints to show everyone... but its the exact same build... just imagine it with lead free joints
