Distilling cooking brandy
I was wondering is it possible to re-distill salted cooking brandy to get rid of the salt? Reason being it sells around here for 80$ for 20L of 120proof (which in canada is super super cheap compared to 40$ for a 40 oz). Opinions?

what if you add the infusion slowly after mixing the water to alcohol ratio of your choice?

the clay pellets are permeable, just soak in water overnight and you will see, another alternative could be perlite as its expanded volcanic glass, i would say it has very similar properties to pumace, but with less impurities.

Very interesting topic, as an alternative to lava rock what about expanded clay pellets? They come in different sizes, that can be purchased on size so for example small columns could use 1/4in and the larger ones 1/2 inch size. this is what they look like http://www.thepondshop.com.au/media/aquacla...
