I got a glass flower vase. The tall skinney kind for a one stim rose. Ask your wife, mother, or girlfriend, they keep those kind of those things around.

Me too! Tall and narrow (and cheap!). I used a plastic cosmetic pottle as a base. I just cut a tight fit hole in the lid and squeezed the vase into it. Gave it the stability needed.

Think about replacin' it with glass.
I have used a plastic graduated cylinder for some time. I ordered it form brewhaus and they specificaly told me it was good up to 97%. I noticed that after a while the cylinder began to get a little cloudy to the point where I could not easily see through it to take a reading. Since then I purchase a glass 200ml cylider which I will use form now on. I don't trust anything but copper stainless steel or glass anymore for contact with high ABV product.

I'm with ya both Holy and Knuck. Copper, stainless or glass only. I picked up a testing cylinder at the brew store for $3. No graduations but has this heavy rubber ring around the top in the event it falls over. Really slick and works great.
AKC i saw the excact glass colum @ the shop on friday , was bout 10 bucks , i had no idea what the ring at the top was for lol , i will get it next time !!!
Yeah, the glass cylinder is worth it, just to be safe. Could have used one of those protective rubber rings last night; tipped mine over and broke the top half off of it. Luckily most of the spirit was saved!
Lord preserve and protect us, we've been drinkin' whiskey 'fore breakfast.
