Filtering - coffee filter or cotton.
When filtering something that has sugar, like brandy made from soaking peaches, I find that coffee filters clog up pretty fast. Is cotton any better in your experiance.
You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, and them's pretty good odds.

I ran into the same thing so I bought a pot used for steaming buns etc.
The bottom part is like a regular pot, the top part is like a collinder with a lid on it. I put the coffee filter in the top part pour in a quart of peach brandy and put the lid on. Set the whole thing in the fridge and let it filter overnight. I bought mine at a Fred's store, only cost $1.49.
