I am considering aging some apple rum on cinnamon. Of course, initially I will age on charred oak. For maybe three weeks. But then, I plan to age on cinnamon sticks for afew days at least. I just want a very faint hin t of cinnamon.

Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect? How many days on cinnamon sticks would it take to just get a faint hint of cinnamon? How many days before it starts getting pretty strong? The rum would be approx 50%abv. Any advice is appreciated.

don't put all your eggs in one basket. try using a sample amout to adjust flavor first ,
then calculate for a larger amount . that way all is not lost if you fail the first try.
