proof & tralle's hydrometer ?

i have a the above hydrometer.

it's the proof 200 thralle's 100 hydrometer, i'm not doing brain surgery but i would like to know how to read it right just to get a general reading of what i run off.

i have read here about usage of hydrometers but i tend to forget do to drinking and have to reread as i have a short

float in likker at temp on hydrometer the 200 scale is percent alcohol the 100 scale reads alcohol by volume. 100 proof = 50 percent alcohol.
I use a pot still.Sometimes with a thumper

Keep in mind your alcohol needs to be about 74-75?? degrees F for it to read correct, I bought a dual reading one that reads proof with a corection of temperture.
Never follow good whiskey with water, unless you're out of good whiskey!!!
