Chemist, can you please explain what causes the beads in alcohol? and why bigger, smaller, more and less?? Thanks

GP--I haven't found anything definative, but I'm thinking it's unsolvated higher alcohols. Still looking.

How about surface tensions?
You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, and them's pretty good odds.
