Uncle Jessy's recipe says for a 5 gallon mash,
# 5 gallons soft, filtered water.
# 7 lbs cracked corn. 6-8 pieces/kernel is the proper crack. If using bird feed, granulated sugar.
# 7 lbs of granulated sugar.
now 5 gallons of water plus some other stuff is no longer 5 gallons. I want to alter what I have been doing to come closer to these ratios. Does someone have a pretty good idea of the exact volume this reipe will take up. I'm going to multiply it several times and would like to get as exact as possible.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, and them's pretty good odds.

I adapted the proportions to fill a 30 L bucket :
24 liters water (mix of water and sour mash).
4,2 kg cracked corn.
4,2 kg sugar.
It just fills a 30 L bucket
Sorry for the metric measures!
