Power Controller?

Post by nimrod77 »

Hey all,
I'm looking into making a power controller for my 2400W 240V 10A element in my boiler.
I am thinking of using a Triac controller using this circut....

Any electrical types have any idea if this would work??
Any tips or tricks that I should know about, or issues that I may have to consider??
Thanks,
Nimrod

hey rum runner, nice schematic. Go to electronics workbench and download FREE multisim 9 you can build your circuit on it and see what kind of results you come up with the program allows you to insert whatever electronic device you feel like and it allows you to use meters and what have you to determine the results that will be obtained. my free copy has expired (to cheap to purchase it at this time) or I would just tell you what the results would be. appears sound, however, the program will let you know for certain.
