Much of what they say I’ve heard before (whisky will only improve to a point for example).

What part are you talking about?

Are you one of the lot that is offended by the idea that the Scotts learned the art of distilling from the Irish  ? Manx is what the people from the Isle of Man (and the land of my family name) call themselves and the island sets right in the middle of Ireland and Scotland. They may be playing on the rivalry of the two to get a good place in the market?

What there selling is naturally going to be built up with words to improve sales, but without a sample who knows.

Hello Level Joe,

The bit i disagree with is that they say they improve the whisky it needs more refining they say, to me that's rubbish.

If a singer/ group, writes a song and sings that song, they have written, and someone else comes along and covers the song, you get people say the cover version is better, well how can that be, because it can only be as good as the original, that's how it was written and that's how it was meant to be sung, how the original artist wanted it to be. if you know what i mean.

No work of art is EVER finished. Like a jeweler turning an old piece of jewelry into a new one. Or if you brought DaVinci back from the dead, put the brushes, paint, and then the Mona Lisa before him. After some thought he might just pick up the brush and add a tiny touch of something. Why?

What people see as good or great changes with time and from person to person. A great artist knows when to stop but they will never say it’s finished. Something else can always be done.

From a business stand point, if you take a whisky that is past its peak/prime (yes I said past) in taste and any other of its qualities or it never quite reached the point of meeting your standards.

What do you do with the product?

You try somehow to turn a profit if possible.

So a clear whisky with the qualities of it having been barrel aged would be quite unique in my opinion. And would probably find a place in the market. Likes been said before, that etho is never lost, just redistill.

IS it actually any better?

Don’t know, never tried it?
