OK: For a 5 gallon batch use 10-12 lbs of sugar, two tablespoons of tomato paste, and water to 5 gallons. A couple of citrus fruits squeezed into the wash is nice too. Eight to ten grams of yeast is plenty.

The Red Star champange yeast would be a good choice for this wash. It has a temperature range from 59F-86F and a Alcohol Tolerance Level of 13-15% and the Flocculation is Medium-Low.

Ok I have a few questions reguarding the process After the grain has been steeped and 5 gallons of water has been ran though (getting 5 gallons of wash)

With beer you boil it.

When your doing a grain wash for distilling Do you just let it kool down to the 80 degree's or whatever the yeast needs, pitch your yeast, toss in tomato paste and lemon and box it up for fermenting?

Or do you boil it and do some magic stuff?

Thanks all.

No grain.

You specifically asked for a recepie for a sugarwash for vodka.

No grain was mentioned, what is this grain yer talkin' 'bout?
