wash

Post by alcboy »

i just finished fementing my wash. it is made of water, one cup of gratefruit juice, 1/2 cup of orange juice, sugar, bakers yeast. it smells pretty good and definitely has alcohol in it. today, i split it in two milk jugs and froze it. im going to turn them upside down in mason jars and let it half of it thaw to double the abv before i distill. any ideas??

I suppose it's time I admitted my ignorance and asked for a piccy of a Mason Jar.
I suspect they're something like a 'Fowlers jar or maybe like those ACME jars with the the lid and screw down ring to keep the lid in place till the vacuum seals it.

It's really shameful to admit you dont really know what a 'Mason Jar' is after a lifetime of listening to yank singers going on about them.

I'm really doing this for all those younger Aussies out there who pretend they know what it is.

Never 'Jacked' anything except 'off' but the theory says you only remove the water. All the flavours should be still there but concentrated along with the alcohol.
