My wife misplace a lead crystal decnter and glasses that had never been used some years ago. Yesterday she found it. I started to use the decanter but first did some research.
Lead chrystal should not be used to store liquids. Lead crystal glasses should not be used for drinking out of everyday. Children and pregnant women should not use them at all.
The only use that might be relatively safe would be to fill and set out when entertaining, then empty when the night is over. I thought about the brass/lead removal method but why take chances.
