Did i cheat? or just realize strip runs own.

Ok... Just a quick re assurence question.

I ran 15 gallons through my reflux still Stripped it down to a good 40-60 %

Then i put it all in my reflux still and charged it up.
I took off 300 ML's of Foreshots at 100 ML an hour.
Then i jacked up the rate to 800 and took off the next 1000 Ml's And put them aside as What i call foreshotty heads.

Then i jacked it up to 2000 to 2400 Ml an hour and let her rip at 95%.
I pulled off about 4-6 liters of some heady smelling stuff stuff that I think is ok.. taste wise.. especialy after it sitting on carbon for a week.
and i have almost 4 liters of Perfect no taste,no smell ethanol.

My question is... Since the foreshots are gone the rest is by taste alone right? Using a refulx still 48 inch column. SUgar wash/turbo yeast.

Is 300 Ml's enough foreshots at 2 hours equilizing and drawing them off at 100 mls an hour.. then taking the next liter and tossing it as awell before i collected?

For some reason i feel like i cheated by doing a stripping run since It came off so fast the second time. (2200 ML avg an hour) Where as before with a straight wash i could only get 500 ml an hour at 95% max.

ANyhow, anything anyone wants to comment or ask about it is appreciated.
PS: The 2400 ml an hour after a strip run tastes the same as my turbos done the slow non strip way. but this time i also have 1 gallon almost of pure don't need carbon filtering.

Thanks all

It does come off fast on a spirit run. I do about the same rate when I have made vodka...

I've done 3 runs on vodka. The 3rd time through the still I did a lot of fine tuning of the fire and let the still equilibrate for about 1.5 hours. I cut the distillate a little with RO water, but got almost all of the alcohol I put into the boiler back out, but it was even cleaner...
