Heater Question

I have a heater I got from a hot water system, it is 3600 watt and I intend installing it in a 40 litre keg. How do I go about adapting a temp control to it? would a dimmer switch do the job? :)

Dimmer switch for the correct amps and handling that wattage will cost you some $$$.
