Hey Duds, I use kangaroo ofcourse, I start with an electric fiberglass fence post for my handles, I drill the butt and fill it with lead, I drill the other end and epoxy a twisted latigo core, then do a 4 plait out of kangaroo down about 18-24 inches, then go back and plait over that with a six plait down to about 30 inches or so, I keep doing this till I get the taper and length I want, when I do then I'll start at the handle butt and do my last and final over plait out of 12 or 16 strands, sometimes in different colors and patterns, my whips are usally 9-11 layers thick. I then give it a good rolling, add my buttons on my handle, attach my fall and cracker and I'm done. I really do enjoy making a good whip.

Howdy y'all!
A n00b here, from the western portion of Sydney. Australia is a fun country to live in I reckon. Would love to hear from more aussies nearby with a simmilar hobby!

Yeah, well you can see where I am from. I was about to say I've done lots more beer brewing (mashed) than distilling, but that's not strictly correct. Most of the distilling has been in lab glassware, with the product being non-potable!
