first run success

ran my first batch tonight, out of a 5 gallon mix i got a liter of moonshine. tested it and its reading 100 proof first run.

what kind of wash and what kind of still do you have?

i used 5lbs corn 7.5 sugar, and 3 packets of yeast, ive heard that yeast wasnt the way to go but i think for my first run it was good being that its 100 proof right? im bidding on a liter aging barrel for it right now so i can turn it in to some good stuff

How much heads and tails did you throw out? It seems like you should have gotten a bit more.

What was your cuts ?I figured closer to 1/2 gallon maybe a tad over by your recipe.
I use a pot still.Sometimes with a thumper

I didn't notice you said 100proof.

Yeah, if you ran it until your Finshed product was 100proof, you should have gotten more than a liter.

i think i cut it short, i didnt know when to stop it so when the driping started slowing quite a bit i stopped it, so i probably didnt leave it go long enough, beginner tho
