Looking at the ingredient line on turbo clear it is made from
Silicic acid
Chitosan
SO2
would not need thr SO2 is making it fresh
The Chitosan is the absorbant , easy to buy in the healthfood store
The silicic acid , what does it do , have not looked for it
I assume the acid is used in part A maybe to get rid of the gas
Part B --- the chitosan
I normally brew for about two weeks , rack to a clean fermentor
at this time the brew is reasonably clear , but like very very weak tea,
add A add B as per instructions and get a crystal clear solution to distill
The turbo clear only costs $5 , but I like to bypass the prepared stuff if I can make it myself
How do I make my own , or use an alternate solution
How do I make my own turbo clear
