Outdoor Cookin'

Post by bushido »

Tried cooking outdoors over the weekend. I did not find it a pleasant experience though, I would not want to do it all the time as the old timers did. It is hard to control the heat, even with a nice bed of coals. Every time you add fuel, the temp jumps. Hard to see whats in the bottles!!! It was about 3 am when I finished up, but had to keep a close watch on the distillate to make sure they never over flowed.
All in all, it was an interesting experiment, but I can't see me doing it again anytime soon.
Guess now though, I have the claim to fame of saying I was at least once a "moonshiner"
