I'll never pay extra to watch a game. If it goes pay-per-view or subscriber channel only, I've watched my last game.

I never watch pro ball anyway...there's just something silly about grown men playing...to me, it goes for all pro sports. The "business" just kills it for me.

Reminds of that old joke about sex only being fun for amateurs. Old pros never giggle.

Same here. I really like to watch (and REALLY like to attend) college ball. That to me is sports. When the money gets too extreme into the mix, I lose interest.

I have not watched a pro game in probably 4 to 6 years. Just have no interest.

I've lost a lot of interest in the NFL the last 5 years, this will just kill all interest. Mainly I follow it to make sure the Raiders are doing badly.

I follow baseball closely, nothing like having the A's game on the radio while I'm working or doing jobs around the house. And nothing like seeing my 'small budget' team beat the big boys and make their fans cry.

I love pro football. But if they go to pay per view, I will start watching the only 2 real sports left out there. Wrestling and roller derby.

I only watch the home team, and then just some of the games. When I do get interested in watching I turn on the TV but mute it, then tune the game in on the radio and listen to the radio while watching the tv. Works great, way better than listening to the tv announcers. The radio guys are describing the game for radio audience and do a 10 times better job because of that, plus they are local guys and are unabashedly prejudiced and know the team members in far more depth than the tv guys ever could, so they are more likely to make semi-intelligent commentary on the plays.

I have been to the stadium once, and won't ever make that mistake again. If I had to pay to watch it on tv I wouldn't watch it. Shoot I don't watch a lot of it now as is.

I seldom watch sports, it's something to do yourself, not something to watch others do. and it's too boring to look at too, most of the time.
a few times a year I watch a tennis game, there are some very good belgian tennis players right now.

I like watching college football (U.S.) and I like watching my team in the NFL. I don't get to sit down and do it a lot, but I enjoy it. With that said, I'm not one to pay-per-view sports. If they put a sport on pay-per-view then I most likely will not be watching it. I do love my Sirrius sat radio though, I can catch just about any football game I want.

Next job after renovating my distilling closet is to install a sat radio there too.

I will be watching the Cowboy game tonight for sure. Edit: I can get it here on a local channel, though I understand that it is only on sattelite tv elsewhere.

Winter olympics are great, I watch those whenever I can.

Occasionally I will watch a bit of golf while napping.

My ma watches more football than I do, and cares or knows about the college games etc. The folks round here in the office have their fav's, I could give a steamy crap really. The baseball strike blew it for me. I say pick a pay level like 60K a year and anyone who REALLY wants to play for the love of the game, competition, whatever, gets to try out and that's it. IT's all big bizz and hollywood to me. I say screw this 20-something million contract for a running back etc. I get only local channels now since I cut out cable and off'd the telephone landline. I'm on rabbit ears or DVD's period. Only thing I miss is all the cool shows on Discovery or History... Modern Marvels etc.

I love my latest hobby and friends here though more and more!
