That is a damn good price.

Best retail supermarket price I have found here (Australia) is 15 kg bags of white sugar for $16, and 2 kg bags of raw sugar for $1.80. Though I ain't complaining, that is still pretty cheap.

Yeah bob, I'd be interested too.

I've also been chasing up 25kg bags of dextrose at feed stores like CRT, but they want something like $2.20 a kilo minimum.

BiLo does 2kg bags of white sugar @ $1.49, that's about 75c a kilo. So 25 Kgs would be less than $19.

Trouble with the supermarket prices are the praticality of pushing a trolley up to the checkout with 50kg of sugar in it

Get mine from a mate who works at an animal feed factory.
Tween $16 and $20 for a 25kg bag raw sugar, depending on market price.
Problems come with my dextrose for beer, he can only get it by the pallet
Bloody cheap for dextrose, but where am i gunna store 40 bags for a couplea years while i drink myself to death?

Well, I didn't want to say anything, but... What time shall we turn up, BB? I might have some mango brandy to cover my entrance fee. (Managed to get enough mango flesh, and will be setting up the ferment in the next day or so.) What are you gonna bring, Alice? Besides your thirst.

That's okay, Punkin. If you let me and Alice know where that barrel is, we'll keep a real close eye on it for you if you happened to get called out. Won't we, Al?

Along these lines, there was a discount store that had 4 pound bags of sugar on sale a couple weeks ago. The girl at the register gave me a real funny look when I wheeled up a buggy that had a dozen bags of sugar in them.

I just say it's for homebrew, it ain't illegal to buy sugar for beer.
