Make sure you have good ventilation.

Make sure you do a water run and a vinegar run so you don't have any leaks.
You WILL get addicted to this forum.

Same as you do if you run a gas range in your kitchen.

set your collection container in a pot to catch any spills and isolate it from heat source...

and get a good (appropriate, dry chem) fire extinguisher and keep it handy

I would strongly suggest against usin' a big propane burner in an apartment.

It seems foolhardy... and as James Thurber said: Where most of us will end up there is no knowin'... but the hellbent know where they are goin'.
