I ran across this today, recordings of interviews with a couple of old time moonshiners, (Earl Rife and C.L. Radford) and a revenuer (who didn't give his name). It reminds me of listening to the old folks sitting on the porch and talking late into the evening, back when I was a little fart. They even have my Grandfathers accent, this really takes me back. Even got the dogs barking in the background.

From the Digital Library of Appalachia. There are lots of categories on Appalachian life - This is outstanding resource.
