valve reflux as a pot????

valve reflux as a pot????

i'm building a StillMaker's valve reflux. if i remove the packing and
shut down the reflux valve can i use it as a pot still??

And are there any taquila resipes out there?

From the information I have read on these very forums, you can leave some copper mesh in the column but just not induce any reflux.
