Superbowl Today

Post by punkin »

For the aussies, just in case you didn't know (like i didn't) Superbowl is on today on SBS from 10 am. Glad i got an RDO

Love this game, one of the best things to come out of the US is the football i reckon. Can never get over the athletisism of some of these huge guys running like our backs do.

A lot of aussies reckon it's sissy having all the padding and helmets, but they've obviously never watched a full game.

Edit:
Whole pig not in crock pot, just a shoulder roast. Crock pot not that big. I hope beer last till friends get here. PWD

Aussie footballers don't wear pads but they don't hit as hard either. I see some hard open-field hits in Aussie football don't get me wrong but the pads let these guys go much harder at each other. Plus they're all 300+ pounds and on steroids. Guys get ruptured spleens and such playing NFL.

I'm mostly a baseball fan though, to tell the truth. Used to watch Aussie football on TV quite a bit though.

Fosters is crap, mostly drunk by Victorians in the south of the country. New South Wales people generally drink Tooheys New and Queenslanders drink XXXX.

Mix all these aussie brews together, leave em in sun and encourage your dog to piss in em and they'd still taste better than Bud

Ya got to love it when the underdogs win. Bellicheck shouldn't have cheated. Brady's girlfriend in the stands was the final clue. Here in the hills we had roast pork(a 2 pounder) yellow rice and black beans, along with some store bought beer and a couple(2-3) shots of some umm better than store bought whiskey :)

Yes a great game of footy.

Missed a lot of the early game due to a strip run and a big ol pot of toamtoes, onions garlic, and basil that needed processing for pasta sauce. Best tomatoe crop for years.

Hamms?! The beer refreshing?

Now that song from years ago is stuck in my head.

From the land of sky blue waters
From the land of pines' lofty blossoms
Comes the beer refreshing
Hamms the beer refreshing
Hamms.

Fosters is the worst beer available in Australia. It's generally regarded as piss. I can honestly say that I know not a soul that drinks the swill, yet by cunning lying advertising it's become as big worm says, "Aussie for beer".

Let me assure you that this is advertising talk and has nothing to do with reality. The best Australian beer is from Tasmania, and as a true tasmaniac it has two heads.

NYC is going to be crazy tomorrow...I was in Tampa when the Bucs won and it was the bomb.....Streets filled with drunken revelers(my kind of place).Good thing it only lasted one day, I would have had to gone to re-hab
