Good day at the online poker tables

Post by Husker »

Placed 41st in the pokerstars freeroll this morning (not big money, but at least enough to sit again at a money table). About a half hour after the free roll started, I also entered a Hubble's FreeRoll qualifier (along with 11,999 other people). Placing (in top 99) at these qualifiers is what gets you a ticket to the weekly free roll tourneys.

Well, I got my ticket in that tourney (playing them at the same time), and after playing it for 7:30, I ended up with all the chips. I have final tabled a time or 2 on some of these very large tourneys, but usually have been very short on chips, and did not last long. This is my first win on a huge entry table.

I play a mean hand of Snap!

Place your bets.

(So, is that actual money you winning there, H, or just playing for the thrill?)
Be safe.
Be discreet.
And have fun.

These are "freeroll" tourneys. The site posts real money for the winners. On PStars, they have 2 weekly $2000 freerolls. To play in these, you have to first win a "ticket". That is what happened in the tourney I won. the top 99 people win a ticket. NOTE the person that came in 99'th and myself (winning it), did just the "same". The last 2 hours or so (after we dropped down to 99), were the "just for fun" play.

Actually, I had only about 90k chips when we crossed the 99 player level, and I simply started pushing all my chips every hand. First 3 times, everyone folded. 4th time I lost, 5th and 6th time I won, so I had about 200k chips, and I decided to "play" for real. It still took about 2.5 more hours.

Well done Husker, i used to play at pokerroom a fair bit (play money) and it always seemed that the more you played the better you went.

The missus plays a lot there still (play money 2 ) and enjoys it. She's just been playing the heads up lately.
