flavoring vodka
Locally they sell a tropical juice that is mostly made of mangos. It makes a great mixer with my vodka. I am considering infusing it with fruit juice and redistilling. Has anyone tried infusing vodka with juice instead of fresh fruit? How long should I let it soak?

Never tried it but I guess instead of infusing after the fact, you could just cut your run with juice instead of water.

If it's local, it's probably cheap, which means that screwing up once or twice isn't going to hurt much. You can try doing the method you've outlined, but just remember to run in potstill mode.
I've never done a fruit flavored run in my life, or a neutral at all for that matter. You'll just have to try it and see.

My favorite, and it could not be any easier! If ya like licorice. Get a piece of dry licorice root, about 5-6" long and bruise it with a meat mallet to expose some of the fibers. Put it into 1-Liter of you finest made or bought Vodka. Now put it away for at least a month. Yes I know this is hard to do!! After at least a month minimum, break it out and run it through a coffee filter to catch any stray fibers. Licorice Vodka, mmmmm Like I said before, this is for those who like the taste of real licorice. This is, of course, the lazy man's way out! But it's nice when ya keep it in the freezer, and you have a sore throat!! Or when your just plain thirsty, LOL
You can do the same thing with cinnamon, but I'm not a big fan of cinnamon. I think it is overused and low quality stuff is used at that.

I make a lot of liqueurs, so I know a ton of tricks. Any particular flavor you want without destroying the Vodka taste? Or is that not an issue so much?

Heres an easy one.Get 2 cans of old orchard frozen cranberry, thaw and pour in a 1 ltr bottle, fill it the rest of the way with 100 proof neutral. Its good, and it has a full cranberry flavor. If your neutral is good and clean, you wont be able to taste the booze at all.
