and to think, I voted for the schmuck! It's ok, I don't buy any likker since I stumbled into this place.
It is most absurdly said, in popular language, of any man, that he is disguised in liquor; for, on the contrary, most men are disguised by sobriety. ~Thomas de Quincy, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater, 1856

Bought some Knob Creek small batch 100 proof the other day, and was less than impressed. Was the first commercial I have bought in a while. At least it gave me no headache, but still could tell there were too much heads in it (and just a hint too much of tails).

It's the old story; 'punish the masses for the actions of a few' and it sucks. Always has; always will.

The story that I'm getting from those who get pissed and then bash/kill some innocent person is that they'll simply buy a bottle of vodka and mix there own sweet 'girly' drinks.

I sure don't know the answer; maybe it's a generational thing. When I was the age of most of the offenders (only who happen to get caught) I had a house mortgage, a wife and four kids. Not that I'm recommending such a drastic measure. :(

I've got 75 litres of 40% UJSM, 25 litres of 40% rum and 12 litres of 95% vodka, so Kevin Rudd can stick his tax where the sun don't shine.

Whenever there is a problem, throw a tax on it. Shopping bags? tax them. Grog? tax it etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did they reduce the tax on low alcohol accordingly with the increase on taxwith alcopops? NO :!: Taxes, levies, charges, fees etc, all on top of the actual cost of what you are paying for make you grateful for your shed, which you can retreat to, and in doing so indicate F*** You. Govmints are just another bussiness making a profit, at the customers expense.
Now I understand the NO POLITICS heading, this subject really gets my hairs up, and this is a place I come to get away from all that shit! I came in from the shed tonight wanting to share the sheer profound joy at being byoneself and doing the hobby they enjoy, and partaking of its produce. Hooks, blanik and coops are all correct, but unless there is a major revolution "LIKE IT OR LUMP IT". I prefer to lump it. The only thing that effects me in my shed is: the weather, if my missus is shitty with me(hasnt happened yet) and finances(I could not afford to be in there if they were not good)

Ya know what, they might just blame this sort of thing on us. We're here, not buying overpriced, overtaxed shit, so they'll say that we're stealing revenue from them. More punishing the masses for the "crimes" (yeah, right  ) of the few.
"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance... baffle them with bullshit."
"Don't steal. The government hates competition."
