Live Oak??

Post by Oaty »

I just read an old thread 'Distressed Aging'. A good read. In it white oak was discussed. I thought Live Oak might be a good alternative to those who are likewise are having trouble getting white and might be near Texas. Has anyone tried it? It's probably a bit fast growing to give really good flavours, but it might be worth a try. I would, but I'm a bit too far east now.

Well, they are quercus, i.e. true oaks. So it's worth a try!
