Beautiful Day

Post by Dutchmancreek »

What gorgeous weather...warm, low humidity, a breeze, and not a cloud in the sky. I've got a pork shoulder in the smoker, a pitcher of the best Bloody Marys in the world (anyone need the recipe?), an Arturo Fuente Robusto lit up, and a comfortable chair on the deck. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd go turn on some music but it's nice and quiet here on the farm without it. Aah.

Had the same event yesterday here (sunday), worked round the house and in the garden in the morning, got a stack of little jobs done. Spent the arvo sitting round drinking some hard lemonade and enjoying the day. Roast Ham and vegies with sweet bourbon gravy for the evening meal....... 8)

Great time of year and a beuatiful spring here.

Was thinking of putting the canoe in the river for my day off today, but i'm gunna run The Skanky Hoe (my new VM) instead.

Yes...it's fall here and my favorite time of the year. My allergies will go away about the time of the first frost. I've got quite a lot of UJSM low wines to do a spirit run on and a fermenter bubbling away with apple cider but it's too nice to sit in the shop all day. I also have a lot of little jobs to do in the yard, firewood to split, etc.

I need to get back into the blacksmith shop now that it's cooled off. I'm making a fireplace set and barbeque set for a house warming gift and they need to get finished.

I'm stuck in the shed today though, it's still furkin beautiful weather , but i don't care.

I'm watching the first real run on my new baby taking shape, it's all stabilised, foreshots bled and now up to a half litre of sweet heads at 96% (20C)

I'm as happy as if i was in the canoe casting lures down the river

The nice weather is almost over here. Temps are already hitting high 30s (C, around 100F), and the humidity is starting to rise. Could be as much as 3 months till some decent rain. (Nights are still pleasant though.)

I love my air-conditioner.

Nice here today, about 26c. Been mowing lawns all day, now I'm sipping on a few quiet UJSM,s good shit, you wouldn't be dead for quids (aussie slang) the only thing that's pissing me off is my satellite broadband, it's overcast tonight and the satellite don't like it.

OMG!!!! I really must be losing it. I was certain that I posted on this topic. Maybe it was a PM to someone. Never mind, life is getting far too short to worry. :)

I was stuffing about in the pharmacy yesterday and my wife asked me if I remember asking her to tell me when I need to look at euthanasia, because that time has come. My reply was "No, I don't remember that".   I

It broke up everyone within hearing distance. :)

Maybe she's right.
