Jeez is it me or has it been colder and wetter than normal this spring? I'm a little ways past the KY state line, its nearly April the 15th, and no corn around here has been planted... heck the fields ain't even been worked. Also the trees are just now starting to bud out, which should have happened a week ago.
It almost seems like temps are 10-15 degrees cooler than normal and it rains every other day. We haven't had any days in the 80's so far as best I can remember which is very unusual.
Oh well. I figure it'll stay cold and wet right until the first couple weeks in May then turn off hotter than hell and all the rain will shut off like someone turned a giant spigot in the sky.
Been really nice here the last few days--temp up in the 40's during afternoon. Another week of this and the snow will all be gone--course there's still 3 ft o ice on the lake and that take at least another month.
There's so much ice and snow still in the bush it's delayed me till May before I can start trapping. Been getting later and later up here. Wonder if I should bring my ice auger for the May opener?

warm up? dang buddy, come here! 97* outside... TOO HOT! its not supposed to be summer time already! and even during the summer its not usually this hot here! I live about 1/2 mile from the ocean to boot!
