Photo Gallery

Hey Mods, would it be possible to create a "Photo Gallery" in the main menu, where members can post pics for reference?.
I belong to another forum for home theatre and projectors that has this function, its a great source for reference, as a picture is worth a thousand words. It would have to be view only, as any reply function would create threads. New and existing members would find this as a great reference library for still designs, developement, and inovation.

the ones like this i have seen are not "threads" like the normal forum but a feture that indexes all the photos uploaded to the forum through the "upload attatchment" feature. just links them all to one page so you can browse through them easy.

i dont know much about forum programming but im pretty sure you can do this through phpbb with one of thier pre-made addons.

Thats exactly what I mean Eternal Frost, it would give ideas for new distillers showing how stills are built, and the different types and variations out there. Also for existing distillers it would show the latest developments and ideas.

At one point I had started a still gallery on the wiki. Then the wiki disappeared for awhile. Now that it's back the gallery is gone and I had to creat a new user account for the wiki. That's a bit discouraging. I'm not sure what happened.

Maybe the last Wiki backup was before you started your gallery. When they re loaded it, it was from an older version

Guys if we get the go ahead on the photo gallery from the mods. Which I think is a great idea. I have a boat load of the photos from the forum saved for reference. So I could upload them if needed. It would beat combing back through all the old post looking for them. If the orignal posters doesn't have a backup copy of the photos.

Any further news regarding a Photo Gallery, it would provide build ideas for "noobies" and inspiration for others when contemplating building a new still.
