Putting bottles in freezers?

Putting bottles in freezers?

Ive heard that by putting spirits into fridge/freezers directly after making speeds up the aging process? true/false ?

I put one bottle into a cold fridge for 24 hours and noticed that the volume went down by around 25mls from doing this , is this normal ?
