The Japanese definitely love their Australian barley. I was driving around the industrial area near Perth about 6 months ago and found Kirin beers Australian malting plant http://www.kirinaustralia.com.au/location.html

I emailed them to see if i could purchase barley but they ignored me.. I just need to find me a contact there.. hell i'd even be happy with a guided tour
