Little or nothing to do with distillation.

i started distilling whilst working in hotel management. i had my own en suite room in the hotel, so i built a pot still, bought a hotplate, racked up some sugarwash in the cupboard and that was me hooked. one day, a few of the bar guys came up for a few beers and noticed the smell of sugar wash. the game was up so i showed them the whole setup. the bar manager came out with "f*** me, it's the guerrilla distilla" (only a scotsman could word it so well :D ), and it's stuck with me since. allthough it's now been shortened to gorrilla as too many questions were being asked  (i'm a 110 kilo ex boxer, so it kind of fits ok as well  )

I'm a welder by trade for over 20 years now and that's just a number for a common mild steel tig welding rod. Welding wll always be my first passion, really gets into your blood, much like distilling I would imagine.

My name came from a very complex series of thoughts.

I am Super...so I knew I had to have that in my name!
My name is David...so I just put the two together and thats how I have the super extra clever name that I have!

I got mine the old fashioned way. I was born with it.

You can also find it in the Nibelungenlied. Sigfried's companion Dankwart was a Schnell. Ancient name.

And I don't need to be sneaky and secret, I've taught organic chemistry lab in college and taught distilling as part of the gig. I've distilled a thousand things other than booze in half a dozen different labs. I also worked as a government subcontractor on a distillery pollution project for one of the big names. I've also held a DSP for a legal distillery owned by my brother, Sunshine Spirits.

My name....Dyce51...is a 2 part thing. First when I was younger I used to be part owner of a halloween Haunted House. And my "character name" was Dyce. (I was 1/2 of the "Chainsaw Brothers Slyce and Dyce" (I know its corny but the gimmic worked) and the "51" part comes from my hot rod, it's a 1951 Ford F-1 Pickup.

Thats cool.

I used to have a 54 and 56. After an unsuccessful 312 rebuild for the 54, I droped in a 351W with a tricked out C-6 tranny. Never got to switching out the drums for rotors. Also kept the original steering box. Needless to say,,,,,,,,,That was a wild driving monster.

My first wife pecked me till I sold it.

I still have dreams about that truck.

The 56 was a basket case but was my daily driver for many years.

Loved the show as a kid. The Munsters too. It was a toss up with Fester or Grandpa. Both blew things up and both set-up the joke for others to be funny. But Grandpa would have made me seem wise or something, so I went with Fester. My first incarnation here was lloyd778, just an old AOL thingy since "lloyd" was already taken 777 times.
Just felt that Fester was funny and occasionally blew things up. The Fester character, like me, has a smile hard-wired on his face. If I ever do say something funny then I'll have to make something explode. haha... boom

My name came from from when I was younger. every ware I went I always had my camera with. My friends always said if you are doing something stupid be careful because I will catch it on film. everyone called me "snapshot" Later I became a part time photographer and the name stuck. So the B the the initial of my name and snapshot got added to it.

I work at a sewer treatment plant. We keep stray dogs that are caught by the stray dog police there also. We got this particular dog once awhile back and he was so cool we decided to keep him as the sewer plant mascot and named him Fecus because of all the fecal stuff at the sewer plant. I ended up taking him home and that was about three years ago. Fecus is a cool dog. He's always smiling and he rubs his weiner on the grass every time he see's me coming with his food

You might want to try cropping the photo to just a head shot, then saving it on a low file size setting. The avatar dimesions and file size limits are given in the avatar upload section of the control panel.

Fecus looks like a cool dog. What does he think of his name? :)

He seems to like it . He likes it alot better than his former owners treated him. I found him attached to a cable which was wrapped around a porch post, hanging from between the gap in some wooden steps. No food or water and he was about dead. I had gone to turn off the water there since they had not paid their water bill. Called the cops who came and arrested the man for cruelty and I took Fecus to the city kennels and got him back to health. He likes me alot

Smallest I could crop and still have a visible avatar 50 x 50 resulted in 22kb! Hmmm.

What you need to do is to reduce the pixel 'depth' (i.e. number of bits used for each pixel). You probably are 32 bit, or 24 bits per pixel in the picture below. However, with proper software, you can easily reduce this to 8 bit. That is only 256 colors, however, it is 1/4 or 1/3 the size of the other 2, and most decent software, can reduce the colors to that level, and you will not be able to see ANY difference. Frequently, no where near the full 32 bits of colors are used anyway. Usually, only about 150 colors or so, can get almost the exact look. Thus any 'decent' software package can get damn near exact with 8 bit (256 colors), but only 5k, vs the 22k, you have by just cropping the file.

Btw, fecus is a great lookin pooch. Probably super nice dog also. A lot of dogs that have been abused in the past, become WONDERFUL pets, if brought into a good environment that is good, and treated well for a while. It takes a while to get the anger out of some of them (or the fear), but once you convince them you are a GOOD guy, and not the abuser they came from, they will doggy up to you just fine.
