I had a bad evening

Post by mjdtexan »

I had a bad evening. I was down the road. I took the ole Case tractor down there as I usaually do. Brothers, I am a peacefull man most of the time, right up to the point where I just can no longer be peaceful. I have enjoyed my buddies company (where I was visiting) for a few years now. Granted his culture is different that mine, but he went off on somebody. He went off on that other dude hard. I was just sitting there minding my own business and my buddie turner around and tried to strike me with a brick. Just like that. I never saw it coming. He didnt hit me full on with it and I was able to turn my head by the grace of God. He caught me with about 35% of what he tried to catch me with. It scared me and he and I got with it and he had to leave in an ambulance. I got on my tractor and went home and I've been kinda expectin the law to roll up and question me about it. Its been a few hours now, a couple of folks who where there have come by to let me know that everything is alright but I am a little worried about it. I certainly didnt see it coming and I truly regret how it turned out.

drinking involved? If so, might be smart to only visit on 'dry' days. Shit does happen, but ya gotta protect yourself from bing in places where serious hurt could come of it. Having yer head kaved in with a brick, is what I call serious hurt.

When my grandfather had his friends over and they got to drinkin...depending on what they were drinking...there would usually be trouble. You could set yer watch to it. Used to happen to some degree or another every single time. If they were drinking wine/beer it was mostly a misunderstanding about something somebody said. If they were drinking purple cow (wine and moonshine), they just go stupified, falling down drunk. If they were drinking high shots, whitedog, all bets were off. Somebody would get their blood up and start swinging....knife even got pulled one time. My grandma laid one of them out with her forearm (to the head). Looked like he got closelined by LT.

But, I'll be damn if they didnt' shore up and start over again nearly every week. The saving grace was, , nobody ever got seriously hurt....ain't like they didn't try though. Half the time, my grandpa woke up in the morning and couldn't even remember what the fuss was all about—nor did he remember us staying up half the night cleanin up after them.

Sounds like you both got into it hard though. I hope you and your friend are ok. and I hope everything works out in the end.

Well, the police never came. He's back at his house already. I am just starting to buy pieces for a still but what I dont do is discuss it with anybody in the neighborhood. We are all on acreage out here. I did pull the gate shut as I do every night. I'm not really upset about it, more suprised than anything else. I aint riding down there no more though, I just dont need the issues.

You done a good thing putting him in that Ambulance.

He probably won't show up at your house looking for any more.

It wouldn't hurt to make out a police report about what happened in case he does show up at your house.

And you end up shooting the SOB.
