I have one basic question - my design involves the condenser and slanted plates in one section of pipe, joined to the packed column via a coupler. Could I theoretically just put the condenser and plate section of pipe directly onto the boiler, crank the output valve all the way open, and run this as a pot still? I'm shooting for some neutral vodka mostly but I've been reading a ton about whiskey still'n and it'd be neat to try. I probably can't afford to build a separate pot still for a while though.
Thanks!
