last time i used 15 lbs of corn meal and 15 pounds of sugar and about 17 gallons of water and couple packs of bakers yeast
and in the end had some great houch good taste and kicked hard but can yall help me adjust my mix for best taste and best quility i got some distillers yeast this time and would like to mix about 20 gallons to 25 gallon of wash i am out of my first run

the one part sugar and one part cornmeal ratio is what most people, myself included, use.
try using brown sugar to get a bit of a different flavor.

yes sir a pot still and it was a good run but i was flying by the seat of my pant did not know what i was doing brown sugar that seems to be a good idea

I like the flavor when using cornmeal.
Its a big difference tween using plain sugar wash and using a corn based sugar wash

well thanks for all the help 1 more question got some distillers yeast this yeast is in plastic bag how much should i use or does it really matter 2 or 3 tables spoons for about 20 gallons last time i used 2 cakes of bakers yeast for 15 gallons and i am going to try some brown sugar that seems like it would help the taste????????????????

that recipe should give you about 6% wash good place to start. add two table spoons of yeast but if it is cold add three.
