I started my learing curve using a simple SS pot that only held one and a half gallons. This was mainly to get the mash figured out and also the technics of cooking.
I hadn't found this site back then!
I was determined to build me a decent copper cooker and finally got that done. After two runs, that produced, but wasn't really good runs I finally got my first good run yesterday.
This was the first time that I had a good steady flow from the coil, instead of a couple good drips every second.
I stood back and watched a quart jar steadly fill up as this flow poured into it.
Excitedly, I took the first jar into the kitchen and got a spoon to do my usual flame test.
A blue flame that is almost invisible in the daylight!!
Finally, a good run!
