Bummer. At least you still got it.

Friend of mine had a beautiful old wooden fishing boat, about 25' with cabins and everything, in full working order, that his father had left him, sort of thing that cannot be replaced. It was stolen from his house by a fucking great crane just driving up, picking the thing up from inside his yard, hoisting it over the fence, and throwing on the back of a prepared truck!

Amazingly none of the neighbours saw anything at all. Apparently.

I can sympathsise with you. I once had a Hatteras 43ft flybridge sports fisherman. I went down to the marina one day and on boarding the boat, I found the cabins on the lower deck flooded with water. On further investigation I found the stopcock for the sink basin skinfitting which was below the water line had corroded and was letting in water. I managed to dive overboard and plug the fitting with a champaign cork. This stopped the water sufficiently to give me enough time to get the boat slipped to make a permanent repair.

You take your boat moose hunting? You shoot them while they're swimming?

Just kidding, sorry to see your boat like that. That really sucks. What happened?
Beautiful old girl, hope you get her seaworthy again.
Numerous 57L kegs, some propane, one 220v electric with stilldragon controller. Keggle for all-Grain, two pot still tops for whisky, a 3" reflux with deflag for vodka. Coming up, a 4" perf plate column. Life is short, make whisky and drag race!

She's 60ft long with 18ft beam. Big Cummins diesle. 'bout 34 ton gross wieght. We're having to build 1.2 miles of road thru swamp to get to her. Worked all week with a Feller-Buncher, a grapple skidder and a linkbelt excavator--am having to cordaroy a road to it. Got a D-7H bulldozer with a good winch just waiting for the last 3/10 of a mile of road to get finished. Hope the local paper mill didn't want any wood this week- 'cause we ain 't sending any.

Worst part is the Coast Gaurd called--they want an incident report--Captains Liscense might get reviewed and the Ministry of Enviorment wants oil booms around her before we pull. Know what an oil boom costs? Shes's sound as a dollar and hasn't leaked a drop yet. Them goverment boys is heartless and humourless.
