Rum Feints

Ok, so running a double wash of rum (45 litres) for a few generations through my thumper.... Im very conservative with my cuts, so generally end up with a fair bit of feints.

Anyway, somehow I have ended up with 7 litres of feints at 60% abv +

Now I cant keep adding it to my run as its throwing the abv of the run out.. So, does it go in the reflux?? or should I run it through the pot still without the thumper??

Its a very tasty rum so I don't want to waste it... Any suggestions??

Just run it by itself; make your cuts as usual. Let it cool a day, and run it again. Make more cuts as usual. There will be a couple liters of hearts in there, at least. Once you get those out, resume using the remaining feints as usual, or go ahead and make a neutral if you have a use for some, being careful to really compress the fores and heads out, and toss those.

I save my rum feints and when I have enough I do a separate run with them.

The feints from that run get thrown into the next neutral run.

I usually add feints back into my current run and save the feints from that run for the next. I say usually because I did a run yesterday and forgot to add the buggers. Not a problem, I'll add the double feints next time. She'll be right, mate.

Thats what I do also. After about 15 or so runs they get kinda rank and I have to through half of them out.
