Hello and thanyou vets

Post by rumlover »

Starting off I would like to thank all of our vets..this is your day. We don't do much for you but thank you no matter what you contributed during you service, we are forever indebted to you. I stumbled across this forum after a googling and kind of started learning from the middle out. Have been reading for a couple of weeks and have learned a buttload. The amount of information on this forum is tremendous and I have only touched the surface. Thanx to all of you guys .

We had Remerberance day yesterday. It was 39c and I had to stand at the flagpole to raise the flag after the minute silence. Shit it was a long, hot five minutes. For some reason ANZAC Day and Remberence Day are becoming more and more crowded every year. Lest we forget.

Welcome Rumlover.

I was walking back from the cenotaph in my uniform and a woman stopped her car and said thank you.
Caught me off guard, nice to see the change in attitude.

Canadian army, we've done so much, with so little, for so long, we are now qualified to do everything with nothing! LOL
Numerous 57L kegs, some propane, one 220v electric with stilldragon controller. Keggle for all-Grain, two pot still tops for whisky, a 3" reflux with deflag for vodka. Coming up, a 4" perf plate column. Life is short, make whisky and drag race!

It always puts a warm feeling in my heart to hear "Thank you for your service" and of course, I don't mind saying it to other vets.

From all of us to all of them, thank you. From all of us to all of you, you're welcome.

This was my first Veterans Day off since I became a vet 20-some years ago. Felt good.

"The soldier, above all others, prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war." Douglas MacArthur.
Master Bruce Lee said," The best style, is NO style."
I've had a LOT of practice at having no style.
