My water comes from a shallow well and is very hard. I'm talking the rust stains block walls if it drips on it for a while.
How bad is it being this hard and full of iron for making my mash. Unless I buy water, it's all I've got.
I've been drinking it since they took the bottle away from me and it hasn't hurt me yet.
Water quality?

My water also comes from a pretty shallow well. Although mine doesn't have a lot of iron, I do spend a lot on CLR every year.
To counter the hardness, use a bit of citric acid, and it will be fine.

It is the very things that we think we know, that keep us from learning what we should know.
