need falvoring help

Post by bradinwva »

Hey guys. Im trying to fix up some stuff for the ladies around here and dont really know what to use. I tasted some shine an old woman made and it had a really strong peach taste with a good kick. The shine was clear as water and from taste was probably 50 proof or so. I have a few gallons of pure plain ole shine so what can I use to add the flavor to this stuff for them? Is the peach or cherry essence the stuff to use? I have no Idea.
thanks

I'd start with the "strawberry panty dropper" recipe over in tried and true.

Lots of folks have been really happy with that one. But there are so many good one's over there.

Ive tried some of those recipies and they work to a point. I was just wondering if theres something you can put in the plain ole neutral to give it the peach flavor.

Well made spirits shouldn't need flavourings, but try here http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... 2#p6706042 or use the search facility for more.

didnt ask if a well made spirit needed flavoring. I was basically asking how to flavor plain ole straight moonshine so a few lady friends of mine would like it. Im not making a special batch of this stuff just so I can get a couple of quarts that have a peach flavor instead of straight.

the post I gave you are not essences, there concentrated fruit juice. essence are flavored oils etc that are extracted from the fruit.
an example of essence is the extract that you fiend in the bakery department that is used to make cakes, frosting's etc..

Ooooops. Wrong thread, my mistake. Sorry.

you did askthis question "Is the peach or cherry essence the stuff to use? I have no Idea", so I was directing you to the Flavourings - What's hot and what's not thread which is basically about flavouring use. You will find it using the search function.
