Zippo Lighter

Post by Vodka_Master »

Yea well until now i was throwing away the foreshots, not needing them for anykind of burner or anything. But lately i was thinking, can i use foreshots as fuel for my zippo? Anyone ever do that or think about it? Or maybe a mixture, like 50/50 foreshots and zippo fuel.

Alcohol will work, but it will burn up your wick. I don't like replacing wicks.

Yea i poured some foreshots into my zippo (it was out of fuel for a week or so) and it did work. The flame wasnt high, it was actually weak. And also i noticed my wick was burning. After awhile it was pitch black and burnt up. I will just let it dry then just pull some more wick out. Well i guess i need to find something else to use my foreshots on.

Use the foreshots for windshield washer fluid in your auto. Works great cut it to 25-50% w/ water.

Yea thats a good idea! Exept i dont know how much of it i can make, and with the winters over here i will need to have it at around 40-50% so it doesnt freeze on me. During the summer time i just use water, but during winter there is the freezing problem. Well i guess i will just collect it, and when i get around 400-500ml and don't find anything else to do with it i will use it as windshield washer fluid, but probably by the time i get that much it will be summer time. Well thanks anyways.
