packing help

Post by jackson98 »

i tried to search it but came up with over 3,000 topics and from the ones i read none helped me out, i'm going to have a 48" LM column, i was going to use either copper or stainless steal scrubbers for packing. which one would yall use? also does it matter if they have a circler spiral shape or a wavy a one(i read some where one was better but couldn't remember which one was). any type of info would help me out.

I'd use copper, it helps in removing sulpher compounds. can't help on pattern, I use structured copper mesh that you roll up.

i would like to use copper because it helps in removing sulpher compounds. i did the same thing today toofless, i saw them and grabbed a bunch and when i was in the checkout line waiting i was reading it and it said copper coated so i put them back. i read somewhere that one pattern was better than the other for some reason i just can't find where i read it.

the ones that look like tightly coiled little springs is best. seems around here the only scrubbers designed like that are SS. i bought copper ones that werent like little springs, but once stuffed into the column, fill it nicely.
