Corn Wine = Corn Brandy?

Post by plasticman »

Please pardon such a newbie question, but wouldn't corn wine produce a brandy rather than a whiskey?

I have enjoyed some corn wine in the past and am pondering such a recipe through a pot still.

brandy is made from fruit not grain, I did have to look that up but, corn wine is a sugar wash with corn and sometimes other things for added flavor.(like raisins) as it is made of grain ,others mite argue that it is closer to beer , it whould be what Id call a "prohibition" stile whisky similar to UJSSM only made "sweet"

(another "rumskey")
